NEON

Created and written by Carlos B. Miller
Developed with mentorship from Spike Lee during Carlos’s time at NYU Graduate Film Program

Neon is a raw, character-driven crime drama set in the pulsating underworld of Miami. The series follows Kojo Greene, a Jamaican-American ex-boxer turned escort driver, navigating a tangled web of sex work, hustling, and survival. Miami glows with neon beauty, but beneath the lights lies a world of desperation, ambition, and betrayal.

At the heart of Neon is a meditation on the American Dream and what it costs to chase it. Each episode explores the intersecting lives of business moguls, dancers, drug dealers, and athletes, trapped between power and vulnerability. Whether driving sex workers through the night or confronting the consequences of addiction, Kojo is a man on the edge, chasing dignity in a city that doesn’t sleep.

Neon is a provocative and emotional series that dares to look directly at the gray spaces of class, race, and morality. Created while Carlos was a student at NYU under the guidance of mentor Spike Lee, the series is unapologetically bold, cinematic, and grounded in truth.
